5 seconds of my day

Red SUV too fast,
Tap the brakes,
Third left coming up,
Rain inconsistent, slow the wipers,
Gotta call the store,
New email ping,
Less gas,
Turn signal,
Phone rings,
Left hand turn,
Find the room to turn,
Remember to buy milk,
Look for a street sign,
Remember the house number,
Stop…..

I recieved this e-mail and thought it was a
wonderful idea!

Christmas cards !!!!!!!

Sounds Like Fun!! It reminds me of "Miracle on 34th Street"

Christmas Cards? You say!
Yes, Christmas cards. This is coming early (really early) so that you can
get ready to include an important address to your list. Read on......../

What a GREAT idea!
Fun with the ACLU...... Wanna have some fun this holiday CHRISTMAS
season? Send the ACLU a *CHRISTMAS CARD* this year.
As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this
holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up
their dark side, sad, little world.
Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it.
Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's Not the Christian
Way, you know!)

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor New York, NY 10004

Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they
wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. It's sure
to hit the national news. So spend 39 cents, and tell the ACLU to leave
Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no su ch thing as a "Holiday
Tree". . . . It's a Christmas Tree even in the fields!!

And please, pass this on to your email lists. We really want to communicate
with the ACLU! They

DESERVE us!!

And a very Merry Christmas!

I Just saw this Movie.

Plot Outline: From his hospital bed,
a writer suffering from a skin disease
hallucinates musical numbers and paranoid plots.

What I Thought…..
A very strange movie.
Any expectation of what this movie might be is useless.
I can’t even start to explain it.
Robert Downey Jr is great
and Mel Gibson as the balding psychiatrist is well done.

Poor old Pluto and its moon Charon
there was 9, then we thought maybe 12?
But now the # is 8.

Planets" Rule Their Space

According to the new definition, approved by the IAU, a planet in our solar system is a celestial body that meets three criteria:

* It orbits the sun.

* It's round. More technically, it "has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape."

* It "has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit." Basically, it dominates its part of space.

That last criterion revokes Pluto's planetary license--little Pluto doesn't dominate anything. The only planets are Mercury (the smallest), Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

I Just saw this Movie.

A young father and his infant son are beset by forces of evil and corruption.
They wander China, upholding their sense of honor and protecting the weak.
When they are forced into combat, spectacular and hilarious fast-motion
kung fu sequences follow. In the end, they must call on all of their abilities
in a battle royale, to attempt to vanquish a supernatural
man-monster or die trying.

What I Thought…..
The little kid is great!
The dubbing job is wacky?!
Cool story

Would you buy this?

They come on an adhesive bandage replica that sticks to skin and encloses a candy ‘scab’ for licking so you can keep some candy on you (hidden) for licking any time. These don’t actually hit the market until September of 2006, but when they do finally come out, I predict they will be a huge hit with kids across the country (and parents and adults will despise their very existence). I know I will be picking up a box, even if they are gross.

12 planets?

So this would mean we get planets, dwarf planets and plutons. The bottom line for planets is that they orbit a star and that they are massive enough for it's gravity to pull it into a nearly sperical shape.

As usual this all falls into the 'you can't please all the people all the time' reality of human thought but people adapt. When I was a kid Jupiter only had 12 satellites, Galileo only had to deal with 4 but now we have 63 and counting..

I wrote the following as I was staring at the background of my blog.
I was in the middle of paying bills so it was easy to let my mind wander away
for a moment.

I can see ahead,
Through the trees,
through the fog,
It seems as if I know,..........
.....................what I see up ahead,
A realization hits me,..............
.............all in one moment,
I really don't see anything,
I don 't even know where I am!
The fabric of life unravels.........
.....into chaos,
Only to find itself,
Once more as it has always been,
yet completely different,
I keep going,
On through the fog,
with a clear picture,
of this sunny wood,
inside my heart.
